It's Monday. But you know what? Who cares! The Seahawks are going to the Super Bowl and this household is so excited, because we are Hawks and Broncos fans. What a match up!!! And not only that, but I am on a new design team!!!!! Did you catch that??? Welcome to my first post as a Melonheadz Designer. :) Today begins the new challenge, Winter Fun. I hope you'll join us!
For my first project, I used the adorable Seasons Winter Deluxe set and a freebie image I picked up from the Melonheadz Illustrating blog. I fell in love with Nikki's images a few years ago and can't tell you how excited I am to be on her team and sharing the adorableness with my bloggy friends!!! There are three images from the Seasons Winter set on the first card....the banner, snowman, and basket full of snowballs. Oh yeah, the trees are also a MH image, but decided not to use them on the card so I placed them in the background. ;)
Banner. You know how I love banners. Just the sweetest!!! The "wishes" portion of the sentiment is a die and stamp by My Creative Time.
Snowballs!!! A whole basket full of free snowballs!! I used tiny pompoms to make them dimensional. And these little guys won't melt away.
For my second project, this freebie image was too cute not to use for the Winter Fun Challenge. I printed it onto pattern paper and added color using copics. The saucer is actually an oval die.
Marshmallows are my favorite in hot chocolate. To make mine look realistic, I used white Liquid Applique dried with a heat gun to puff them up. Yum! The steam vapors are craft wire I had in my stash. I love that I had purple to match the papers. And the snowflake brad on the twine was a bonus! Too cute!
So please won't you join us for the Winter Fun Challenge. But first a warning: good luck choosing your favorite sets from the store. They are all so sweet you'll want to have them all! ;) Happy crafting, bloggy friends. ♥
