Parents-to-be card with MFT

We have happy news in the family as one of our nieces is expecting baby number two! Coincidentally, he/she is due on big brother, Charlie's 2nd birthday, so it's going to be exciting watching the countdown to see how close the new baby's arrival will be. :)

Thus, the reason for this sweet baby card featuring the My Favorite Things newest release Happy Hippos (love love looooove!) and the Adorable Elephants. I just felt these two had to meet as they are both cute as can be! I made this one a slider card using the MFT Channel Slider Builder die set. The interactive labels stamp set is perfect for this type of card (PULL) with 'pull', 'shake', 'slide', 'press', and several other words for creating cards that invite the recipient to play!

The baby chicks are also part of the new Happy Hippos set. Super cute!

MFT Color Challenge #73

Another mermaid shaker card, I hope you're not tired of them. ;) She's so adorable, I don't know how you could be. LOL I used the Ocean Fun set to create the shaker shapes, and used the stitched square peek-a-boo window and square shaker pouch for the shaker.

Love the jellyfish from the Ocean Fun set. The fish are also from that set.

I used stickles on the mermaid tail and starfish in her hair. Looks much more mer-mazing in person, of course. Foam tape behind the mermaid as she perches on her rock, and sequins for added pizazz.

MFT Sketch 339 and Color 72 Challenges

This is my second project for the color challenge, this is not a misprint. :) I started out with the sketch challenge in mind for this one and it just turned out the colors I used were in line with the challenge, so I went with it all the way. The colors are perfect for a nautical theme so here you go.

I used copic multi-liner to "outline" on my card. It seemed kind of stuffy/stuck-up and I wanted it to have a more casual feel being it is also a shaker. In addition, I added a mini-wobble to the crab to keep it even more fun. Mission accomplished!

Stamps for the background in the shaker are fish and waves from Ocean Fun, and the anchors are from the Float My Boat. The crab is also from the Ocean Fun stamps and die-namics. Sentiment is from the Mermazing stamp set.

Here is Mr. Crab getting all wobbly.
