GOOD LUCK!

Today we are featuring the new stamp set called Circle Font - isn't it cute!!! It fits beautifully onto the circle die from the Build a Banner kit, if you don't have a circle punch. Also, the awesome label and banner (tag: right) are part of this new release, in addition to the stamped background on my "FALL" tag. Super love, people. Super love!!!! For my other tag (left), I used the layering Just Tags dies along with the Just For You stamp set. Won't these be cute as Thanksgiving place cards.

To make my pine cone I used the rolled flower die. It looks shorter in the picture than it really is. I'll have to work on lengthening them more when I do this again, I guess. I also used the Piles of Smiles leaf dies on these tags.

For my next project, I made these adorable pilgrim hat appetizer plates for the kids' Thanksgiving table. I saw this idea on pinterest and knew I had to make them! The original version has a much smaller brim, but I decided to leave the whole plate so it can be used for veggies, cheese, crackers etc. The inverted cup holds candy, carrot sticks or whatever. (I have the fall peanut butter M&Ms in these.)

Here's a little better view of how the pine cones turn out.

I used the scallop stitched circle for this smaller pine cone.

Super fun projects this week. I can't even tell you how excited we all are about this release. This is probably the all time favorite release of the majority of the team, if not all of us!! LOVE it all and you will too. Be sure to check out the My Creative Time blog and facebook page for more sneaks, and don't forget our blog hop is split -- half the team on Thursday and the rest of us on Friday. Thanks for coming by today!

Designer Challenge, MCT

Today is Designer Challenge day at My Creative Time. Design Team Member, Rosy is sharing a super fun challenge this week, and I'm so excited to show you my project! Her challenge is to use fabric and stitches on your project. Stitches may be real, hand drawn, rub ons, whatever you like, as long as you incorporate stitches in some way. For me this turned into a couple of challenges, actually. The first one being to clear off my sewing table in order to access my machine for this project. LOL!!!! So here we go.....

For my project today, I used part of a leg from a pair of Gracie's old blue jeans to make her a cute little denim bag!! I LOVE how this turned out and I think she will too.

Denim and lace flowers are the perfect accent. I used My Creative Time rolled flower die for the large roses, and for the small rolled flower, My Creative Time stitched circle die.

To make the lace flower, I simply ran twine through one side and pulled tight forming a circle then tied the twine tight. The beautiful gold flower button is from Liz's PaperLoft Boutique.

The matching gift card turned out super cute too, if I do say so. I love the pink and denim colors together.

I used a Quickutz heart die for the background, burlap from Liz's Paperloft Boutique, and more lace and denim flowers.

This is the adorable Teeny Tag by My Creative Time. The layering die set comes with the Teeny Tag Greetings, which includes this sentiment and many others.

I have plenty of fabric left for lots more projects too. I'm thinking I might have to get busy on more bags with four more grandgirls in the bunch. ;) Seeing how these were Gracie's jeans, I figured she had better get the first bag. LOL

I hope you'll join us over at My Creative Time for this fun challenge. You have two weeks to link up your project on the blog, so get out the fabric and thread and go to town! ;) Thanks for coming by today. Hope you enjoyed my challenge project!

Autumn Greetings

Happy November. I don't know about you, but I'm in shock!!! Christmas is less than 60 days away, not to mention Thanksgiving in 3 weeks. Where did the year go!??? Well, I can't change it, so I guess I'll just have to embrace it. Here is my super simple autumn card using My Creative Time, Piles of Smiles stamp and die set.

Just a touch of twine, nothing fancy and nothing added so as to keep the leaves the main focus.

Again, simple. One large leaf behind the sentiment tag, again keeping with the theme. Tsukineko Potter's Clay ink pad.

Happy Halloween---for realsies!!

...and Happy Hump Day - 3D Wednesday, that is - with My Creative Time. YES! More Halloween! Today we are all making 3D cards. I've never done this diamond fold before so I thought I'd give it a shot for today's project. I have to say I love how it works, and even my hubster was impressed with this piece!

This is the back view of the closed card. The ribbon is actually necessary for this particular card as I made the inside a tad bulky, which you'll see in a minute.

This is a side view of the card without the ribbon closure. Isn't it a cool fold??

And this is the inside/backside. You can see how it would be a little bulkier with all the extra paper pieces on it, than if I had left it all white. The sentiment is from the My Creative Time, Just For You stamp set; spider and webs from Treats for My Sweet.

Message on the front of the card using My Creative Time, Treats for My Sweet stamp set - sentiment and bat are both on this set, btw. I used stickles on the bat and the boo for a little added pizzazz.

For my flower embellishment, I used Martha Stewart punches.

I loved this fun fold so much I decided to make another one. :) This time a Christmas card. I love the light blue and gold color combo of this OLD Wild Asparagus paper I've had in my stash, so here you go. Much simpler than the first version. There are so so so many things you can do with this idea. You could even do it the other way around so that it opens in the front with the 3D diamond shape at the back. Either way, it's a lovely fold.

Thanks for coming by the studio for 3D Wednesday. Be sure to also visit the other designer blogs for more fun 3D card ideas!
