Day 6 of abcapril2026 Flowers, Film reel.
It's been a long time since I made paper flowers! If you've been a follower for any length of time you may remember I made paper flowers for nearly every project. LOL Sadly, however, it is true what they say: "Use it or lose it." My flowers leave a lot to be desired, but I have promised myself to get back into the flower making so I don't lose my magic touch again. Meantime, here are a few I threw together today for a journal cover. (Journal to come later.) It measures approximately 6.5x4.25 inches.
Starting with the actual page, this is another digital from a SevenPlaza freebie file (the same file as the gorgeous blue flowers and lace papers I've used the past couple of days). The film reel is a die I've had for years from My Creative Time. I love the look of it and it's so cool to see these coming back around in crafting!
The flowers and leaves are made from various scraps I had on my desk.Lovely photo booth image from Tim Holtz
The bird is part of a tag from another digital file, from Tattered Rose Paper Co. and, of course, an adorable tiny resin charm.
