Mass Make March, Day 9, 10, 11

Good ol' Amazon came through for me and I was able to complete our day 9 project. I have more ideas now that I see how these turned out. Make your own washi tape with vellum sticker paper and archival/staz on inks. Endless possibilities!!

Day 9: HOMEMADE WASHI 

Here are a few samples I made using my very own homemade washi tapes. Now I just need some pretty colors in archival to make more fun washi tape! :) 

Day 10: HIDDEN POCKETS FROM MINI PAPER BAGS

I love making these adorable little pockets. They pop open with the tab and lay flat when closed. So cute! (You may have seen my previous post when I first found this technique on youtube.) I was happy to see Toni using this idea for one of our Mass Make March projects. I made ten of them but had to stop or I'd still be making them. LOL

For these I used lots of digital files from Vibe of Vintage. I love her stuff! 

Day 11: PAGE TAB CLUSTERS

The other day we made long page tabs. Today we made regular sized page tabs. I had none left so this was great to add to my stash. I even made more after she finished the video. And we even made some "ghost" (clear acetate) tabs. So cool! 

These I made during the one hour video. I impressed me, making this many in one hour. I'm typically a pretty slow crafter (IMO, anyway).  

Then I made a few more while I had all the stuff out.

Mass Make March, Day 7, 8

Day 7: LIBRARY CARD POCKETS

Today we made library card pockets, with no dies. I have several dies for these in different sizes, but today we made them simply by cutting and gluing file folders. You can make any size you want this way. I will not likely use large ones, so I only made a few of them; mostly I made small ones that will hold a tag or journal card. 

Large pockets are 3 1/2x5 inches, small ones are 2 1/2x3 1/2 inches.

Day 8: PLAYING CARD SPECIMEN SLIDES

Fun way to use old playing cards. The bugs and moths are stamped and painted with distress ink, hand cut, then placed between acetate sheets and glued to a card with the center cut out (mine did not have a border to go by so I used a die and eyeballed the center of the card). Place another card on top and embellish how you wish. 

Day 9: CUSTOM WASHI TAPES

These will come later as I'm waiting for an amazon order to finish them! So cool, and worth the wait. :) 

Bonus project

While I was working on other projects for #massmakemarch2025, I accidentally made my own cello tape!!! But let me back up just a bit.... one of my new favorite artists, Margareth, of Seven Plaza (check out her you tube and ko fi shops for awesome digital files and kits) made a digital kit of cello tape. It is FANTASTIC!!! I bought some printable transparent vinyl sticker paper (Amazon ) and printed out her awesome tapes. They are just as good as Tim Holtz and way cheaper as you can print the digital file as many times as you want. So I have the vinyl sticker paper. 

Then, on day 4 of #massmakemarch2025, we made faux meta tags with Crafty by Toni. (The project that requires alcohol ink. See previous posts.) As I was working with the ink and making the tags, I thought, I wonder if this ink will work on the vinyl sticker paper. I had a piece of scrap from cutting the digital pieces and tried dabbing the ink onto it with a dauber. OMG. It takes the ink beautifully and dries almost instantly. Now I know that next time I can use a lighter color (or any color you want!) and make nearly identical cello tape to the brand name. I'm in love! :) And now, with the digital file and the vinyl sticker paper option, I'm in cello tape for life. LOL

Mass Make March, Day 4, 5, 6

Day 4: FAUX METAL TAGS
This craft is a little more involved than some of the others. Not difficult, but you need specific products; alcohol inks (I do not have these, but I do have Copic alcohol marker refill inks and they work just as well), and aluminum tape. Luckily, I had some of this as well and was able to play. I'm not super thrilled with my finished tags, but they'll do. I plan to make some more of these and hopefully they'll turn out better. Such as they are, here you go. 

Day 5: BOOK PAGE TAGS AND POCKETS
I've had an old dictionary in my craft room for years that I picked up at the thrift store for use in crafting. This really came in handy for today's crafts. Some of these required doubling up the pages (gluing two together to give it more stability). Also, I used stamps for the "stitching" on all of these. 

I love the fun accordion pocket, This one took just two pieces of paper. Below is a trifold tri-pocket folder. 

Fun little envelopes and tags.

Multi-tiered pockets, corner pocket, and pocket tags. I was not happy that I dropped my inked up stamp right onto my finished pockets. Hopefully I can cover some of it with embellishments when I use it in a project. 

Day 6: PAGE TABS

March is National Craft Month

In honor of National Craft Month, I'm participating in Mass-Make March with Crafty by Toni on her YouTube channel. There are several other crafters sharing projects for Mass-Make March as well, so if you're interested in jumping in, there are no rules or requirements, just craft! With one week in already I have been so busy crafting I've had no time to share my projects. So I'm up late tonight writing blog posts and going to try and catch you up on all my shenanigans so far this month. Ha! 

Day 1: TICKETS TICKETS TICKETS
You don't need dies for these, just grab your scissors (and if you have dies and prefer to use them, go for it!) I LOVE tickets and making tickets and have lots of dies and stamps for them, so it was fun to make this pile!! Aren't the fun?!

Day 2: NO CLIP HIDDEN PAPER CLIPS 
Today we created hidden paper clip tabs with no paper clips! Yes, no paper clips required and you can still make them. I prefer the ones with the clips and since I have paper clips, I made some with the real clips in them as well. These are one of my favorite things to make. They make great book marks too, if you're looking for something different. 

Day 3: EASY MINI FRAMES
Super quick and easy to make, and how cute in your journals or on scrapbook pages. They can be used as pockets or tucks too. I made some with acetate and some with vellum. I think there may be one empty one too.
