Christmas Advent Tickets, pt 2

We're nearly there. Can you believe Christmas is only 4 days away?? I'm not ready; but then, I rarely feel ready and it always comes anyway and we have a great time. :) Here are number 12 through 21, plus number 8. 

Can you see the awesome white embossing on the snow globe? So pretty! It was the snow globe stamps and die set I had been waiting for in order to complete this one. We use this set again on #19.

This was fun. I didn't have the falalala paper by Heidi Swapp, but I do have a falalala stamp from Ellen Hutson and that was perfect!

Oops. I got the pic before I added the 20! I love the clipboards. They are so cute, and they are interactive too - the post card actually tucks under the clip and can be removed.

There you go. Just four more tickets to complete the set. I love projects like this. Thanks again, Lindsay Bateman, for sharing your fab designs!

Cute mini folio

Today I have another little Christmas themed mini book using scraps and things from my stash. Some of the tabs and tags you may remember from previous makes. This one is another project inspired by Crafty by Toni. Check out her youtube channel for lots of fun and inspiring paper crafting.

This book measures 4x6. I used two 6x8 and two 6x6 papers for the book itself. (See link to Toni's youtube for all the details.) I used washi tapes, tickets and acetate tabs to embellish. 

Here I have used one of the envelope pockets I made in a previous post. I simply adhered it to the page.

This page is a pocket. Here are a couple of tags I made previously that I stamped onto and added ribbon.

A simple page for photos.

Photo can be added here as well. Tickets in the little mini pocket, and tab made previously.

This page is a "flap" which can be used for journaling or more photos. Beneath is another page for photos. 

And the final page for more photos and/or journaling, embellished with a tab and ticket. This is also a pocket. The back cover is like the front, with a pocket, but without embellishments. 

Fun little make. You can do as much or as little embellishing as you want with this; add more pages if you want to or not. I hope you'll make one. Have fun!

Christmas advent tickets

...with Lindsay Bateman. I love, love, love Lindsay's work and she has shared these adorable tags on Instagram that you can follow along and make your own. I am waiting for a couple of things in the mail to finish up a few of her projects, but for now, here is a start. (Day 8 will have to wait, but I'll post it in the next batch when my order arrives with the snow globe stamps and dies.)

For now, here are days one through eleven (minus day 8). Also, all but number 11 are Lindsay's designs. So cute! Each ticket measures 2x4 inches.

Snowflake Wreath

I've been wanting to do this for a couple of years now and finally got to it. Wow. What a freakin' mess!! I knew there was a reason I quit working with glitter. But it's done now and I can stop thinking about it. LOL! I have no idea how many snowflakes I used, so there is no point in asking. I've have lots and lots of these Dollar Tree snowflakes in my craft closet for several years and no clue how many I ultimately used. There also were some that lost legs in the process (legs? arms? sticks? what do you call the snowflake branches?). Well, lots of them broke off as I worked. Not really noticeable, but I had a handful when I cleaned up. Also, my front door needs to be repainted so try not to look too closely. (I even photoshopped a couple of really bad spots.) Everything I used is from Dollar Tree, including the wire wreath form. Ok, enough jabber, here's my Dollar Tree snowflake wreath. 

And so the glittery, gluey nightmare begins. My gosh, I could've filled a jar with glitter just from brushing it off the table - only four times before I finished this. LOL!!

We're getting there, four dustpans full of glitter and several hot glue burned fingers later...

Yay, done! What do you think? Is this one a project  you might consider? Super simple, though not without it's headaches, aka. hot glue, glitter, and broken branches, but turned out pretty in the end, I think.

I added the trees and silver stems as it seemed too plain and bare with just the snowflakes. The blue and silver ones helped too, but I do like it better with the little white brush trees.
