Today's lesson: Window Weaving

I did it! I finished every class for 20 days. I love that I learned some new techniques that I will certainly use in the future.Today was such a class. So simple to do but what an impact. And in the process, you use up scraps, so it's a win-win-win. Here we go.

Today's lesson: Must-try Mono-printing

This class was so much fun. I know I said just yesterday that abstract backgrounds might be my favorite, but this technique today was so much fun it was hard to stop making cards! For each time you do the technique, you get two cards, so you can see how it could become a problem if you made something like 8 or 10 prints - 16-20 cards!! But I didn't go quite THAT far.

Here are my prints. IRL they look like fabric prints! So pretty.

Today's lesson: Colorful Abstract Backgrounds

Super simple backgrounds that anyone with an ink pad or two can accomplish in minutes. I super love this technique. For my card I grabbed three of the few oxide inks I have - the first three on the top of the stack. And they worked so well together, I love the finished result. I will be using this technique in the future with lots of different color combos. Check out my completed card!

Jury is still out with a few days to go yet, but I think this might be my favorite class.

Today's lesson: Lining Up Pieces w/ Background Dies

Ok, disclaimer: I don't own any background dies!! In all the thousands and thousands (not exaggerating) of dies here in my craft room, I do not have a single background die. Therefore, I had to get extra creative for today's class. I hope it works okay for this technique. Perhaps I should add one or two background dies to my stash just because I will probably use them if I have them. LOL

Spring Card Camp 2, Day 16

Today's class: Wonderful Watercolor Wash

We're getting toward the end of camp with just four more days to go. I have to admit, I didn't think I'd be able to keep up with all 20 days, but I haven't missed one yet, so it's looking like I might actually graduate. Although my card today isn't exactly a "wash" - Haha!!!

Now, let me first say, I love watercolor - BUT, I have no watercolors in my craft supplies. I know, right?!! No watercolor palette, no watercolor markers or pencils...honest! I have such an array of gorgeous colors of Distress Inks, I use those instead. There really is no need for watercolor paints if you have any of these ink pads. That said, however, today I didn't use the ink pads. I wanted much more vibrant colors so instead I used the refill inks. Oh my goodness. I might just use them instead of the ink pads from now one when I want a brighter shade of color. What do you think?
