Interactive mini album - 3D Wednesday!

Warning: PHOTO HEAVY!  I tried to consolidate but still there are a lot of photos for this very interactive album. Without all the photos, there is no way to see the coolness of this design by Elsa JustafewDesigns. I saw her video on youtube and fell in love with her technique. It's so much fun to make and really not difficult at all to do, but let's get started, there's a lot to cover.

First, of course, the cover of the book. Look closely, those are indeed, real feathers! Straight from my hubby's hobby room, real turkey feathers. Awesome. Of course no self-respecting mini-book of mine would be complete without some of my paper flowers, as well. To bind this book, I used my trusty pink Bind it All.

The first collage photo shows the cover, inside pages and the ribbon closure from the back looping around to the front with a Tim Holtz hitch post. Those things are so awesome.

Next are the first pages inside. They look pretty basic until you start unfolding. In the first two pages alone there are three photo mats, four tags, and two pockets.

On the left is the next page as you open the book, which holds another tag. On the right you see the page folded out revealing three more tags, two more pockets, and photo mat.

Up next is another pocket page with tag; folded open on the right is another tag and photo mat.
Another pocket page with three tags and plenty of room to tuck away more photos or keepsakes.

Opposite the pocket page is a removable photo mat (most of them are removable so additional pictures can be added behind as well.) when opened up (below left) reveals two more photo mats. Fold it up and turn the page (upper right) and there are three more tags in this little pocket. Fold that page down and you have another removable photo mat, a large pocket and journaling tag.

Tags and close up of cool Mr. Fix It embelly, complete with hammer brad!

And still not done! One page, though it may look boring, is another photo mat which folds up to reveal yet another photo mat, a pocket page with a third photo mat, and another pocket with two more tags. Whew!

So there's the entire book--5 pages, and I didn't even do a separate cover. All in all there are 12 photo mats, plus room for even more photos, 19 tags some of which can also be used for photos, and 9 pockets! If I were to list all the products used, I'd be here another week, so rather than list each one, please leave any questions in your comments and I'll address them there. :)

**Birthday Giveaway!**

Good morning and welcome to my blog on this fine day....which happens to be MY BIRTHDAY! :) Yay! Is there a limit as to the number of times one can repeat age 29? Cuz I think next year I might have to actually reach 30...again. LOL! No matter, it's a happy day and I'm excited that my mom and dad, who are driving the 400+ miles round trip for the day, are coming over to take me to lunch.  I haven't seen them in a few years, so it will be a great visit! :)

But before they arrive, let's get the giveaway party rolling, shall we! To be eligible to win, you must be a follower and leave a comment. Simple as that! AND if you haven't yet "liked" the facebook page, head on over there, like the page and comment there. There will be two winners here on the blog, and another chosen from the Facebook Fan Page. Be sure and visit both places for two chances to win. Winners will be announced Wednesday, Jun 5.  Up for grabs are these fabby dies by My Creative Time, and this sweet birthday stamp set by Peachy Keen Stamps!

My card is a scraplift of an adorable design by Geri Freeman at Precious Remembrances. Her card is going to be published in the August issue of Cards, so be sure and watch for it. I loved all the elements she used on her version, but I changed mine up just a little.

Here's the banner. This was a fun one.

And this super shiny silver key...big shout out to Kimberly Harris who RAKed me this awesome silver paper!!! Thank you so much, Kim!!

Sentiment and arrow is from My Creative Time, It's All About You stamp set.

Thank you for coming by on my most favorite day! :) I appreciate each and every one of you who comment, follow, and stop by to view my projects. Have a wonderful summer and don't forget to stop in now and then!

Scrapping The Little Things

Hello and happy Monday! Today is Scrapping The Little Things with My Creative Time. Today you'll find scrapbook layouts, Project Life and Smash pages to inspire you. Here is my 12x12 layout, displayed in one of my hanging racks.

Closer view of my page. I love the look of smashy but rarely feel I can quite pull it off. DT Sista Nancy is an ace at this technique!! Then I found a page on pinterest that inspired me to try again. I printed the page and studied it for what seemed like hours before I finally decided to just start smashing - adding stuff and stamping stuff and before I knew it, I had a smashy looking page that I am totally pleased with!!! I hope you like it too.

Clusters of tags, tape, stamps, and just stuff. Not bad. Just a few of the items in this clump are MCT Build a Banner Kit, Vintage label banner, Circle font set, and Chocolate Greetings.

Another clump of stuff for the title, including MCT Chocolate Greetings, Teeny Tag, Layering Hearts, Label Font, Mini Frame arrow, and Life is Good stamp set...

...and a final cluster of goodies to balance out the page. You guys, I used so much stuff on this page and still have a pile of things I didn't use {which will, no doubt, make an appearance on an upcoming Thrifty Thursday} and I love it all! Did you notice -- not a single flower?! not a single ribbon, bow, or button?! Don't faint. :)
