Gnomes, flowers and butterflies, oh my!

For this week's projects I've used versatile Cottage Cutz Made Easy flowers, ornate butterfly, and Mrs. Gnome. The new flower designs are so much fun. You can create so many flower designs with just these few pieces. And I love the "buttons" too! Such a great design.

Inside message:

I combined the new butterfly with an older one using the same glittery idea for the openwork in the wings. They go so well together and look how pretty when combined with the flowers.

Fourth and final card using the DCWV Mariposa stack. Yellow polka dot base paper is from October Afternoon, Modern Homemaker collection. Border is Spellbinders again.


Prima flowers, pearls and bling, heart charm leftover from the wedding favors I made for my niece a couple of years ago, butterfly is Jenni Bowlin,



Wish ticket is Tim Holtz, green/white string from The Twinery, and ribbon by Offray. Oh and the large rosette behind the primas I made using Tim Holtz' sizzix die.

This one is October Afternoon. Still my favorite paper line! The Modern Homemaker collection is so adorable, and it's perfect for this card for my daughter, who loves 50's vintage as much as I do. Mixing bowl and ingredients is a stamp from Queen Kat Designs. "eat cake" sticker by SRM Stickers.

Cardstock sticker popped with foam tape. Bling added. Gotta have bling.

I can't help it. The Mariposa stack is gorgeous. I'm not even a huge lover of butterflies. All four butterfly cards were made using ONE piece of paper! Beautiful AND thrifty. ;) This one is for my sister-in-law. and bling randomly placed around the butterflies because bling is bling!!! :)

I used the ribbon slot punch by Making Memories for threading the ribbon. The charm on the bow is a brad from the Chatterbox Easy Brad Maker; bling added for sparkle,

"just for you" sentiment, SRM Sticker; scalloped oval mats are Spellbinders nestabilities.

I hope you've enjoyed all the cards. I've never had so much fun making them before. Not sure why this year is different, but it's working for me. Apparently something clicked! LOL

Welcome home, Emmy

As you can see by the date, this is not a new picture. But it's one of my favorites of Emmy's homecoming and I'm glad I waited to scrap it so I could use the adorable Buggy Designs button bear on this page!!

I've matched baby bear's hat and pacifier to match Emmy's using the winter accessories and new baby accessories set. What a fun little die, button bear is. :)


Title letters are QK paperdoll, and for the monogram, I used the new LC/QK Blue Sky alphabet and punched holes to run the twine through. The pink and white string is a sweet touch, I think. The scalloped heart is the Cottage Cutz heart locket die, and the border is one of the new shapeabilities CHA release by Spellbinders.

Another man card

Love the old car theme so I used it again on this one. And again the Spellbinders floral accent border and greeting sticker by SRM. Chipboard book label by Heidi Swapp; screw brads unknown.

Masculine birthday card

Guy cards are never easy to make, it seems. I'm not sure why, but it seems to be that way for most everyone. I enjoy a challenge though so anything I can do to make a card more masculine looking is fun. Couldn't miss with the gorgeous Proper Gentleman paper collection by Graphic45. Even ribbon looks manly here with the black border accent and mini-key.
