Button Bear is in da hauuuuse!

Oh gosh Emma has done it again with her adorable Buggy Designs Button Bear!!! Here he is on my card, wearing his hat and mittens from the winter accessories die (sold separately) and holding a snowflake from the Winter Wonderland release.

I've used liquid embroidery around the hat and mittens and for the pompom on top. I love that stuff! It looks just like a soft fluffy trim, doesn't it. :)




For this mini book I used the Winter Wishes Gift Set, snowflakes, and the English Rose alphabet.

This keyring mini book is perfect for grandma's purse with pics of the grandkids.

Trading size pics fit great in this one. It's the smallest of the four sizes in the set.

I hope you're staying warm where you are. We are definitely in for a white winter in our area. It's beautiful but it's sure cold! ;) Thanks for stopping today.

Snow!

Today I'm sharing a card I made a while back ... before we actually had snow. We are covered in white now with snow in the forecast every day for the rest of the week. Apparently up to 7 more inches by tomorrow. Wanna come over and play? I'm sure the skiers are ecstatic! {I'm NOT a skier, just to be clear. ;) }

I used the Cottage Cutz skiing penguin for this card. For the snow, I used the water from the otter die and the message tag is a nesting bracket by Spellbinders.



I embellished with ink and fabric paint, then cut a shadow all around the image after it was all put together. Isn't he adorable!

Beautiful Dancer Fairy composition book

This month I've had the pleasure of working with the Beautiful Dancer fairy stamp by Amy Brown, from Queen Kat Designs, http://www.katstamps.com/ I've used her here on this altered composition book. She's so beautiful in shades of pink. Her dress looks yellow in the photo, but it's actually green. In addition to copics, I've also used stickles, glimmer mist and i-rock bling.

Other materials on this project include ribbon, lace, and prima flowers. The background paper is Making Memories, the measuring tape paper is Life's Journey, and the dictionary paper is from an old dictionary I picked up at the thrift store for a quarter.

To get the old, used look on the dictionary paper, I spritzed it with water and crumpled it, uncrumpled it then sprayed with glimmer mist; crumpled again then opened it up to dry. I helped it dry with a heat gun then gently rubbed an ink pad over the crumpled texture.

The beaded stick pin and dictionary paper flower are my own creations.

Party time

or パーティ時間 in Japanese! I'm sharing with you more of my new crafty love today - copic blending markers! When I saw this adorable (and free!!!) digi stamp, I knew I had to use her with the lanterns and branch.

In addition to copics, I've added texture with stickles. The Rev. 0158 lanterns hang from a branch from the 3-pc. branches border set.

This week, make a project with a die you haven't used in a while. :)
