#the12daysofjunkmas, cont'd

Oh, I had fun with this one. I used a wheat thins cracker box to create the tag box, and Simple Stories Vintage Fresh Snow for the design elements. It turned out even better than I anticipated and I love it! Hope you're inspired.

#the12daysofjunkmas, with Crafty by Toni

Good morning! And welcome to the studio on the go. Yesterday, as I was beginning this project for Toni's 12 Days of Junkmas challenge, I realized how badly I packed my craft tote for this trip. Seriously, there is so much I wish I would have included in my traveling craft bag. Ugh. It's so hard to know what you will really want to have with you and what you won't use in a three month time period. Alas.

BUT, I knew I would be doing some Christmas crafting so at least I included some appropriate supplies for that. These tags -which I completely love!!!- all started as price tags from clothing purchases that would typically be tossed in the trash. And that's where junkmas comes in, of course. Didn't they turn out so cute?? All the adorable cut out vintage images are digital files I purchased from Etsy sellers. I've used bits of cheesecloth, ribbon, fabric, and twine as well.

A few Christmas cards

Had to get the juices flowing somehow, so I grabbed my Simple Stories Vintage Winter Woods paper pad and ephemera pieces and whipped out my Christmas cards. Sometimes you need a deadline to get your engine started, you know? LOL Here are a few of my favorites.

Happy December from sunny San Diego

We made it. If you have followed me on the blog or other socials, you know that we became Snowbirds a couple of years before Covid hit. Then, with Randy's surgery, we missed another couple of years wintering in the warmer weather. Well, we are here again, and so happy to be where the sun shines every day! It has been tough finding suitable places to stay within our time frame, but I have been lucky so far and this year's accommodations have turned out to be perfect. Airbnb has been so good for us, and we've had good luck with everyone we have dealt with.

That said, my crafty juices are stalled. I don't know where to begin; it has been so long since I really delved into the supply stash and it's making me crazy. I have a space here for crafting, which is always a must when doing our winter Airbnb search, so that's not an issue. One month ago today my sister and I were on our way to Paris, Germany and Switzerland -- FAB TRIP!!! -- and when I got home, I barely had time to breathe before packing up again and hitting the road. But here we are and I need to get the creativity flowing again.

While I ponder, here is a favorite photo I took while on vacay. This was from our table at the Sky Bar in the Hilton Hyatt Regency Hotel in Paris on the 34th floor. I'll never forget this breathtaking view.

Happy Thanksgiving from Scrapendipity Studio Crafts

It's Turkey Day once again and we are so very thankful for everything we are blessed with! I hope you are having a wonderful day with friends, family, pets or whomever and however you celebrate your thankfulness. We ALL have so much to be thankful for.

Honey, I'm home....

....but not for long! Just returned from vacation in Europe and have such a short time to get repacked and ready for our winter trek south. (More on vacation later - with pics of course! )We are sooooo hoping we make it out of town before the snow comes - please cross your fingers for us. We're heading out this weekend and I haven't even started packing, though I did get all the laundry done so that's a good start.

I'm having such a hard time not delving into the craft stash, you have no idea! The studio is basically shut down for winter, but that doesn't keep me from wanting to make it a huge mess in here again. Hahaha! My fingers are so itchy to get crafting again.

Before I left, I was able to get started on the cover for the Halloween Every Day Journal and I can't wait to finish it. So far I'm loving it! What do you think???

Halloween Every Day, Day 24

I'm not even sure what days I've posted and what days I haven't, tbh! The numbers don't really matter, we'll be Halloweening until the very last day anyway. Hahaha! Regardless, here is the project we made yesterday. Again, from a file folder piece. I love working with them. How weird am I?!?

Just another fun little tuck/pocket.

Halloween Every Day, Day 23

Card Wallet -Wow. I loooove this project. (But I've loved every project so far! haha) This is another brain child of Crafty by Toni. Started as file folder. I love crafting with file folders. Finished book measures 6x6, including tab.

There are 5 card pockets inside. Tuck in tags, journaling spots, photos, whatever you want.
The pockets measure about 5 3/4 x 3 inches.

The left side is a pocket

This is how we started. Toni purchased some already made pocket frames at Michael's and shared measurements, so I made one; step one. Finished piece is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches, closed.
This i
Step two, cover in book paper, or whatever you want to use. I have an old dictionary I purchased at the thrift store several years ago that I use for this type of project.

Halloween Every day, cont'd

This one is from Day 17. I forgot to even get pictures of this one much less post. Oh well, better late than never. I've already placed this one in the journal even. Love how it turned out though!

We made three pieces for this page. The top one is one of the cluster tabs we did on Day 11, I believe it was.
This piece is an opening window for journaling or a small photo.
The final piece is a pocket. This is another piece of a Heidi Swapp paper. So very cool.
