Pinkfresh Create and Connect Event 2022, contd

Day 1 continued
Class 2 Card 1

I have previously mentioned, on many occasions, how little I like the color purple. Well. This card may have changed my mind! This is soooo much prettier in real life, the photos simply cannot do it justice. This stamp set is called Peony Fantasy and the card designer/class teacher is Channin Pelletier. I loved her class, probably the most of all our classes this weekend, and it doesn't hurt that I love peonies as well. Isn't it a gorgeous set?

For the first card in class two, we used the mini slimline frame dies along with the peony fantasy set. We heat embossed the image in gold before adding the inking with the coordinating layering stencil set. The colors Channin chose for this card are positively stunning. I opted to cut my smaller frame in shiny gold cardstock since we were also heat embossing in gold.

This sentiment is one I hot foiled myself, not part of the event kit. It is from the Perfect Sentiments set by Pinkfresh.
Foam tape. Lots of foam tape.
Class 2, Card 2
For our second card using the Peony Fantasy, we incorporated the Ornate Circle die as well. In this case, we layered two of them covering the front of the card, which we splattered with black. I love the interest the splatter adds to the background.
This time I used a sentiment from the Waffle Flower, Sentiment Additions stamps and coordinating dies. I heat embossed in white on black cardstock to coordinate with the black splatter background.
Stacking and foam tape of course.

Make n Take
For our make n take, I dry embossed my card panel using the Pinkfresh Folk Edge Rectangle die set (not part of the event kit). I like the little bit of extra interest it adds. The Gazebo die peeking out from behind the peonies, is also part of the kit so it may be released at a later date. The photo is not so great so it's not showing well at all, but once again the peonies are heat embossed in gold.
Again, the sentiment is heat embossed in gold, this time I fussy cut as there is no die for it. The sentiment is not part of the Pinkfresh kit; it is by My Favorite Things. The super pretty iridescent clear drops are part of the kit and should be available for purchase in the next few months.
Dimension is life. Love love love. Here you can see a little more of the gazebo die. It's so delicate and pretty.
That's Class 2 of Day 1. These are designs I will definitely be making again. These flowers are beautiful and there are so many gazillion color combinations you can use to really make them extra special.
