You are fabulous - layout

I'm really enjoying getting back to scrapbooking! Who knew it would take a winter trip south to get going again. I'm glad I brought with me these super cute selfies of Grace for inspiration. Now, to get some pics of the other grands so I can add to their albums this year too! But for now, here is cutie patootie Grace, once again.

Being away from my craft room, I've had to get creative with the few supplies I brought with me to San Diego. It's been fun and sometimes challenging but the results have been very satisfying. Stamps and dies are so very versatile and I think we sometimes forget how many ways they can be used in addition to card making.

Miss Grace, layout #2

Another of my fave selfies of Grace from 2016. I love her adorableness, but then I always have and she IS my own first grandgirl!

The sentiment strips are actually stickers I bought for my planner. But when you're crafting on the road/away from home you don't have your whole craftroom to choose from when selecting supplies for your projects. The trees are all from the My Favorite Things, Deer Friends stamps and dies.

My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #317

This week's sketch challenge at My Favorite Things. Sketches are my favorite kind of challenge, but you probably already know that if you've followed me for any length of time.

For this sketch, I used several MFT stamp and die sets - NINE of them to be exact! Doesn't look like there is that much to it, does it. LOL (See product list below for all the sets I used.)

Little closer view of the elements. I love the sentiment. And I love to lick the bowl....it might be my favorite part of baking. Ha! ;) Hope you like my card. Thanks for looking!

Hello Sunshine

First scrapbook layout in a few years. I know!! Damn cell phone cameras, anyway -- I have to snag pics of the kids from their Instagram accounts or keep reminding them to send me some! Haha. Anyway, I LOVE this pic of Grace and decided to use it for my return to scrapbooking.

Oh, and for those of you who've followed my blog and scrapbooking projects for so many years, Grace will be 16 in a couple of weeks. I know, right?! Yes......driving!!

For her name I used Echo Park Designer Stamps, lower case alphabet. The hibiscus is by Paper Smooches from the Summer Lovin' set.

Hearts are by My Favorite Things, I'm Owl Yours; sentiment strips are Small Talk by Tim Holtz; and tags from the Blueprints #1 die namics set by My Favorite Things. Sentiments also by My Favorite Things, from So Much Love stamps.

Title by Paper Smooches, Summer Lovin; arrow from I'm Owl Yours, by My Favorite Things. Pattern papers by Recollections.

Baking up a birthday card

Generally I'm not happy with my attempts at random background stamping, but this time I am pleased. Of course, the adorable images help too. However, my husband pointed out that there is no sugar so my birthday cake won't be so good. Sigh. LOL!

I combined a few different sets for this one. (Links below.)

Product List:
Lawn Fawn, Baked With Love (flour, butter, milk, eggs, rolling pin; background spoon and sentiment)
My Favorite Things, Recipe for Happiness (whisk and mixing spoon)
My Favorite Things, Sweet Succulents (the bowl is actually a cactus pot)

The cute cooking images are fun to color and the papers are perfect.
