MFT, Sketch Challenge 337

For this week's sketch challenge I used the adorable Party Like a Pirate set by Birdie Brown, again. I love this super cute set, but when it comes to Birdie Brown I pretty much love all her stuff. ;) You can see why!

MFT Camp Create, Bonfire Bonus

Dry Embossing is the theme for today's Bonfire Bonus project. I used the freebie "THANKS" die in addition to some scoring and leaf dies along the bottom. The flowers are from the Doodled Blooms set. Super simple.

Here you can actually see the leaves.

MFT Camp Create, Day 3 Spectacular Shakers

My shaker for today's Camp Create using the most adorable Birdie Brown set ever, Party Like a Pirate. The pirates and related images in this set are so cute I would have loved to use every one of them on this card! LOL Here are just a few of them to see for yourself....

These two little pirates remind me of my first two grands, Jeffery and Grace.

I think Jeffery was in 6th grade here. He picked out his own costume elements from the thrift store. I love his frilly pirate blouse! And Grace, well, she always had to do what her big brother did, so she wears a pink pirate bandanna. :)

Inside message:
In case you missed it look again...the parrot has a peg leg! LOL Cracked me up when I first noticed.

Product List:
My Favorite Things, Party Like a Pirate
My Favorite Things, Circle shaker pouches
My Favorite Things, Ocean Fun (waves stamp)
My Creative Time, Lost at Sea (port hole die)
Tim Holtz Stencil, Rays
Distress Inks, scattered straw, spiced marmalade, pumice stone, mermaid lagoon

MFT Camp Create, Day 2 - Remarkable Resist

This one is for yesterday's class  at Camp Create (I'm playing catch-up!) where we used emboss resist technique. Again I used the adorable "Mermazing" stamps and dies. This time I also incorporated the new 6x6 background stamp, Mermaid Tail. I love the scaley look to this design.

Here you can see the embossed background better, as well as the Wink of Stella I added to the Mermaid tail and fishes. There are so many super cute images in this set, it's hard not to use all of them on one card! These are just a few. ;) The sentiment is also included in this set.

Product List:
My Favorite Things, Mermazing stamps
My Favorite Things, Mermazing dies
My Favorite Things, Wonky Stitch rectangles
My Favorite Things, Mermaid Tail background stamp
Copic markers, Wink of Stella, clear embossing powder
Distress Inks, wilted violet, shaded lilac, pistachio, bundled sage, forest moss

MFT Camp Create, Day 1 Watercolor

Today's crafty creation is for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge as well as Camp Create, Day 1, Watercolor.

You can see lots of MFT products for this card. I used a stencil to create the subtle watercolor background. I missed the deadline for Sketch 336, but have also incorporated the current color challenge. Hope you like.

Copic markers, glossy accents, and Wink of Stella.

My Favorite Things, Card Challenge

Hey all! It's been awhile, I know. I'm hoping the nice weather will help return my crafty mojo, so any vibes you can send over are greatly appreciated.

For today, I have this card to share using the My Favorite Things (MFT) mermaids by Birdie Brown. So, so cute and FUN to color! I decided to combine both the sketch (335) and color (70) challenges into this one card and I do like how it turned out. Took me days, literally, to get it all together in a way that made me happy. (Lack of mojo is a terrible thing!!) But here is the end result. Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

Sorry for the blur, but I had to maneuver in a way that would show the sparkle I added with Wink of Stella, clear. Isn't she so sweet, though.

My Favorite Things, Color Challenge #68

Ohhh! Love the color combo for this week's challenge, don't you. I used it with the Up in The Air stamps and die sets by MFT for my simple "miss you" card.

I started with a light wash of light blue on watercolor paper for the sky background behind the clouds and balloons. Just enough to give it a little color and make it not so white.

This large balloon is attached with a wobble. I love using the wobbles, particularly for kids' cards, but they're not JUST for kids. They're just fun!

National Scrapbooking Day, 2017

Happy NSD crafty peeps! It's been way too long since I've been on the blog, but I am finally back. We had an awesome time spending the winter months in San Diego and - fingers crossed! - I hope we'll do it again next winter. We got home the first week of March and have been busy making lots of plans for some remodeling and upgrading here at home this spring and summer, thus my lack of paper crafting. It's been mostly planning, measuring, shopping and waiting as of now. Some of our materials are trickling in though, so it won't be much longer and I'll have a whole new bathroom. Yay!!! But I digress...this is about National Scrapbooking Day, so let's get back on track.

After being away from my favorite room in the house, as well as my all crafty toys and goodies, I finally got back to my room today and made a mother's day card. Truth be told, I was so bad at finding/making time to craft since we got home that I missed all our March birthdays (there are a lot of them, including both my parents, my daughter, and sister in law - eek) so I really would have had the guilts had I not made a card for mom's day. Which is what I am sharing today.

This gorgeous stamp is from the "Mom" set by My Creative Time. I just love the flower cluster. Isn't it so pretty in gold embossing. The mat looks almost black but it is more like a deep navy blue. The gold looks awesome on it in real life.

Mom's favorite color is blue. I used some of the lighter shades of Copics in the BG family. The 'mother' die is also included in the set. You can check them out here: My Creative Time.

Thanks for coming to the Studio today. I promise I'll be better about keeping up now that we are home and settled back into our old routines. Hope you're enjoying a crafty weekend with your favorite crafty friends!

Hugs,

My Favorite Things, Sketch #320

Quick post to share this week's challenge project for MFT Card Challenges. The picture is not the greatest, my apologies. But I do like the way my card turned out.

Also, posting from my iPad is not easy so please bear with me. Products used are MFT Polynesian Paradise, stamps and dies; Copic markers; foam tape; sparkle pen (on the flowers); pattern paper by Recollections.

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments, or on the Scrapendipity Studio Facebook Fan page (link in right sidebar). Thanks for visiting the Studio!

My Favorite Things, Sketch #319

This week's sketch for My Favorite Things. I had to cut the circle by hand (thus, the choppy shape 😩) as I only brought with me a few versatile die sets, not including a circle.

But I'm pleased with this card, regardless. The adorable chubby chefs are some of my most faves by My Favorite Things. Isn't he adorbs!

My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #318

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, it seemed appropriate to make another 'heart' card. Besides, I didn't bring nearly enough scrapping supplies with me so I'm having to create with what I have in my bag. LOL Hope you aren't getting tired of all them! ;)

The hearts are from the I'm Owl Yours set, sentiment from So Much Love, and the tag from Blueprints #13.

The super cute pattern papers are from the 6x6 paper pad, Kiss The Cook, by Bo Bunny. I love the colors in this collection.
