My Favorite Things, Color challenge #52

It's time for the new color challenge at My Favorite Things. I LOVE this color combo!!! And oh goodness...I bought these chibi lights months ago but had not really given a lot of thought as to how I would use them at the time I purchased them. Then yesterday I picked up the Magical Dragons set and thought -- PERFECT! I'm so glad my idea came out so well. Isn't it too cool??? Thanks to Jennifer McGuire and Karolyn Loncon for their great tutorials on how to use the chibitronics light kit.

My Favorite Things, Color Challenge #51

Today’s project is for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #51. I used the Magical Dragons stamps and dies for my card. The cute little knight in shining armor and the sentiment are also part of this adorable set by Birdie Brown.

I cut two of each image, then after coloring the images with copic markers, I heat embossed them with clear embossing powder and adhered them each to the second die cut using foam tape. I love the look of the heat embossing, plus it adds even more dimension when using foam tape.

Product List:
My Favorite Things, Magical Dragons stamps
My Favorite Things, Magical Dragons die set
My Favorite Things, Scenic Safari border dies
Cardstock in various shades of green
Copic markers, clear embossing powder, foam tape

Melonheadz Challenge, Add Die Cuts/Punches

Happy Monday and welcome to the new challenge with Melonheadz Friends. The challenge this week is to add die cuts or punch outs to your project.

I used the lighthouse from the Nautical MH set combined with sunshine, clouds, and waves dies. The "island" I cut by hand. ;) LOL

Come and play with us for this challenge. You have two weeks. And I KNOW you have at least a punch or two and a couple of dies. Hope to see your project in the gallery.

This one is a special farewell project for Camp Create, Single Layer Savvy. I'm not so savvy when it comes to single layer, but I tried. LOL I did forget to mask the trees behind the fox, oops, but the rest turned out pretty good I think. I need LOTS of practice at this technique.

MFT Camp Create 3, Remarkable Resist

Day 3 of Camp Create 3. Today's challenge is emboss resist. I love this technique and need to use it more often! My card today was inspired by a similar design on Pinterest. The leaves are Bo Bunny, the script background is My Creative Time, and the sentiment is My Favorite Things.

The band across the upper part of the card is Bazzill Yam cardstock with the leaves in gold embossing powder. I used Rusty Hinge distress ink for the script background and inked over it all with Gathered Twigs distress ink.

MFT Camp Create 3, Awesome Ombre

It's Day 2 of Camp Create with MFT and today's challenge is Ombre. I chose to use this technique a little differently than you would expect. I used inks to create an ombre affect on watercolor paper than stamped and die cut onto the ombre piece to create the adorable dragon and the 'hello'. I love him!!!

From the adorable Magical Dragons set by Birdie Brown, I fell in love with this guy the minute I saw him in the sneak peeks of the new release and had to have him! He's so sweet!!!

All the images on this card are by My Favorite Things. See product list below.
