This week's challenge is to include a pumpkin! Join us at Melonheadz Friends blog for this fun festively fall challenge. :)

I used two image sets for my card; Very Veggie and School Subject Kidlets. I altered the sweet little girl so that she is holding an armful of blessings instead of the books she usually carries. You can find both of these sets in the Melonheadz Doodles store.

Please join us for this fun challenge and you could win the drawing!! :)

Sweet Baby card

Today's card is for my babiest of nieces, Miss Avery, superbaby, who is just 4 months old. Avery had major surgery just a few weeks ago and is already back to being her little angel self and healing so well. She is also niece, Taylor's, baby sister {Taylor, of yesterday's 'hello fairy' card.}

I love this sweet little girl image from My Favorite Things, Jingle All The Way stamp set. I used copics to color the image then covered with clear embossing powder and mounted it to the card using foam tape. The "baby" card I had in my stash forever. I added the "sweet" {My Creative Time, Life is Good stamp set} in white embossing powder, and "stitched" the edges using My Creative Time Rectangle Frames dies. Added pretty pink twine and a tiny star button before mounting to my card front.

Inside message: My Creative Time stamp sets, Life is Good and All Star Baby.

Fun fact: All Star Baby was the very first My Creative Time stamp set I ever owned. I won it in one of the drawings! :)

I've left links in the narrative for products used on this card, instead of a separate product list. Thanks for looking! Hope your weekend is wonderful. :)

"Hello" fairy card

This card is for my niece {great niece? Not sure how that works, but she's my niece's daughter - niece is easier. LOL} For Taylor. :)

The fairy die is one I've had for years. She doesn't get as much use as she should. I'll have to change that. The cute pattern papers are by Simple Stories from the A Charmed Life 6x6 paper pad. The background pieces cut with My Creative Time Rectangle Frames and Stitched Oval dies.

Her sweet face is by Peachy Keen Stamps, from the In The Garden Face Assortment set. I used wink of stella on her vellum wings and, after I took the photos, I added gold stickles to her wand. Looks awesome.

Pretty bling flower center in her hair, touches of copic markers for shading.

The inside message is also by My Creative Time, from the Speech Bubbles Stamp and Die set.

I've left product links in the narrative this time as opposed to making a separate product list. Thanks for looking! Happy Saturday. :)

38th Edition Release Blog Hop, My Creative Time

Welcome to the hop!!! Oh man, I hope you are quick on the draw this morning because I have a feeling the ovals and windows are gonna FLY outta here like a bat outta you-know-where! Remember also, the sale begins right now {info at the end of this post} So grab a cuppa, and let's get down to the biz.....

For today's project, I was assigned the new window and accessories die set. I don't think I have to tell you I LOVE this set. :) In addition to the window and window sill/shelf die from that set, I also used the delicious ovals again. They are so versatile!

For the window box and swag above the window I used the Boughs of Holly stamps and dies, adding bling for berries. Can you see the snow on my window panes?? I used white fabric paint there. But the big tip I have to share with you....can you guess what I used to cut the acetate for my window? The Just Tags layer die!!!! It's the perfect size to fit behind the window die without any trimming at all. So if you plan on adding the window set to your shopping cart, I highly recommend getting the Just Tags as well, if you don't already have those.

Again, the Boughs of Holly set fits beautifully with my card theme, this time using the believe word die.

And, of course, my favorite reindeer from the Oh Deer stamp and die set. I love this flying reindeer! Do you believe?! ;) Up next you'll want to hop on over to Miss Nikki's blog.

Sneak Peek, Day 4 My Creative Time

For our last day of sneak peeks, we are showcasing this month's freebie! This set is called Hello You. I made two projects with this one. Here's the first.

The pretty leafy bush and the sentiments are both from the freebie set. I love the bush, it can be used in so many ways. I added blingy buds in blue and green to give it some sparkle, and the new oval dies for the backdrop.

Here you can see a little better the brass distress spray. Also, I doodled around the larger oval, and added the smaller one using foam tape.

For my second card, I again used the stitched ovals and pen-doodled on these as well.

The sentiment is again from the freebie set. I made the flower using flat Prima flowers folded and glued together.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the release hop and have your shopping list and credit card handy. I'm pretty sure the ovals and windows are gonna be gone before you can barely bat an eye!!! Remember the daily giveaways too - here are the deets on those:

Sneak Peek, Day 3 My Creative Time

Wednesday Sneak, Day 3, we are showcasing two new sets; Snow Buddies stamp set and coordinating die set called Winter Snowman. As you can see, I also used the new release, Stitched Ovals we shared on Day 1.

I love nesting dies as you can use them for solid shapes as well as frames, which is what I did here to frame my "snow"-filled shaker. The sentiment is from the Snow Buddies set.

Here is a closer view of the snowman. I stamped him on white cardstock, colored his twig arms and then clear embossed over it all. For the next step, I cut the hat, mittens and scarf individually {there are dies for these, so no fussy cutting required!} from pattern paper, then added the floofy white stuff for the pompoms. The buttons are stickles, and the nose is black fabric paint. Put them all together and you have one adorable little snow buddy!

Remember to comment to be entered in the giveaway. And don't forget there will be even more prizes during the Release Blog Hop on Friday. See you there. :)

Sneak Peek, Day 1 My Creative Time

Welcome to the first day of sneak peek week. We have some fabulous ideas for this new release, and today's featured set is gonna knock your socks off. It did mine, anyway, and man is it cold to be barefoot. Hahaha! If you're a die-lover like I am, you're going to love this set of stitched oval dies, the largest being a scalloped version. Here's my card showing one of the nesting ovals. I'm bummed it isn't showing up as well in the pic as it does in person, but I hope you'll get the idea anyway.

You can see it only slightly better in this view. I used distress inks and stains, enamel dots and bling, and the sentiment is from the Thankful Heart stamp set from last month's release. I cut the feathers by hand from dictionary paper and watercolored them with distress inks.

Inspiration Wednesday

Happy hump day, and welcome to Inspiration Wednesday with My Creative Time. My card today was inspired by a pinterest version from Robin at Stamping Country. I hope my copycat does her design justice.

For my version of Robin's card, I used the Thankful Heart leaf dies cut from pattern papers. I love the way the soft colors and patterns look together. Can you guess how I made my acorn? The top part I cut by hand and ran through my paper crimper, but the acorn itself is actually a Christmas ornament die! Ta-da!! Isn't it cute?!

The burlap paper strip behind the leaves and acorn give the card more of a natural look, and the twine in a color that matches one of the leaves "ties" it all together.

This is one of my favorite sentiments. This one is part of the Life is Good stamp set.

Remember to count your blessings daily. Sometimes it might be harder to see them when you're having a bad day, but they are always there. Thank you for coming by today, bloggy blessings! :)

Product List:
My Creative Time, Rectangle frame dies
My Creative Time, A Thankful Heart, leaf dies
My Creative Time, Warm Holiday Fun, ornament die
My Creative Time, Life is Good stamp set
DCWV 6x6 Burlap paper pad
My Favorite Things, Whip Cream cardstock
Twine, button, paper crimper, glue gun, foam tape, chipboard, pattern paper scraps

Add a Sentiment Challenge with Melonheadz Friends

I have two posts today, so if you're looking for Scrapping the Little Things, scroll to the next post or click here. Thanks!

The new challenge is up on the Melonheadz Friends blog. This time, our challenge is to add a sentiment. I used another of the adorable Lucy Doris images for my winter/Christmas themed card.

After I colored my image (I use copic markers) I clear embossed the entire surface, then I added glossy accents to her glasses for dimension. Can you see the fluffy cuffs of her coat and hat? I used liquid applique aka embroidery paint to give even more dimension. I love that stuff. It's especially fun for winter cards as it makes a great snow affect as well.

Thanks for coming by today. Be sure to check out all the new releases in the Melonheadz Etsy store too {link in product list below}!!

Product List:
Melonheadz Illustrating images, Lucy Doris
Spellbinders nesting labels
My Creative Time banner label die
My Favorite Things sentiment stamp

Scrapping the Little Things

I have two posts up today, so if you're looking for the newest Melonheadz Friends challenge, click here! Thanks!

It's scrapbook Monday at My Creative Time blog. Today's layout features grandgirl, Mila, though you would never know it without her name somewhere on this page. LOL I love this kid's awesome sense of humor. My page is 12x12.

I used SO MANY stamp sets on this page. and NO dies! Weird, huh?! For me to use not a single die on an entire layout is pretty much unheard of, but as you can see by the awesome variety of stamps I used, there really isn't anything missing. Washi tape behind the photo and the Heidi Swapp chipboard heart are the only elements I used that are not stamps.

Fun title treatment - words from various stamp sets for fun variety. Chipboard heart by Heidi Swapp. Dotted lines are from Gift Card Sentiments, arrows and 'hello' from You Are Here, and numbers from the Circle Font stamp set.

Background words are the Type Background stamp, splotches from Family is Everything, watercolor splotchy lines from You are Fabulous. Subtitle from Bracket Sentiments, hearts from Postcard Add Ons.

For obvious reasons, I added her name here. Haha! ;) Label font, sports sentiments and post card add ons.

Thanks for coming by the studio today. I challenge you to use at least ten stamp sets on a layout. I've used thirteen on this page. You can do this!

Deck the Halls card

While browsing pinterest last night I ran across this card by Geri's Paper Wishes. I immediately stopped browsing and copied it. I love that it's so simple, but still packs a punch and incorporates vintage, shabby, and simple all at once. Hope you like it!

You can see I used lots of different stamps and elements, yet the design is not too fussy or overwhelmed with stuff.

Product List:
My Creative Time, Boughs of Holly, fir bough and sentiment
WPlus9, Spring Blooms berries stamp
BossKut tag
Quickutz pine cone die
Jute twine
Distress inks, Forest Moss, Shabby Shutters, Festive Berries, Vintage Photo

Day 5, Holiday Card Workshop

Today we're making gift tags. :) I used this cute snowman from My Favorite Things for my tag and made my own pattern for the sleeve.

The gifts and "do not open" stamps are from a clear set I've had for a long time. No idea who makes it, sorry.
