Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge (wk3)

My project today is for the Anything Goes Sparks Challenge at Paper Smooches. I love using my dies in lots of different ways, and for this project I cut the Paper Smooches feathers dies from shrink plastic, colored with copic markers, on both sides, and made feather earrings. The way the markers look on the shrunken pieces is pretty cool. Looks almost watercolor-y. The cute sentiment is by Peachy Keen Stamps.

Product List:
Paper Smooches, feathers dies
My Creative Time, 3x4 journaling card
Peachy Keen Stamps, PK-1382 Flamingo Phrases
Shrink film, copic markers, jump rings, jewelry findings

Finally....it's time to hop!!!! Please welcome our guest designer this month, a familiar face around here, Miss Glorajean!!! So happy to have you back with us for a bit, Glora! :)

My assigned set for the hop today is the Stitched Flowers and Leaves. I wanted to do something a little different and I came up with these sweet little earrings. I think the grandgirls would love them. Simple to do using copics and shrink film. I decorated my display card using the Scalloped Bow die.

You may have seen this set on my facebook page yesterday. This was the first pair I made, just playing around. I love how cute they are! I used the Springtime in Paris set, Eiffel Tower stamp and die for these. The card is the postage stamp frame die.

This card was inspired by a pinterest design that caught my eye. The lighting makes this look blue on my screen - but it's really black. I hope you are getting a better image. I used the Stitched Flowers and Leaves die for this card as well as the Honey Do List stamp set, Floral Sentiments stamp set, and the ladybug from the new release, Build a Pretty Flower stamp set.

Thanks for coming by for the Blog Hop! Be sure to visit the other designer blogs as well for more chances to win. If you want to start at the beginning, go to Emma's blog, but if you came from Cindy's blog, you're on track! Up next is Micia.

For our third sneak peek, we are sharing new flower dies!!! This new set is called Stitched Pretty Flowers and Leaves.

You can use them in so many ways. I think I used every single die on my card!

Sentiment is from Teeny Tag Greetings.

For my second card, another new set called Wishing You Were Here. This one includes stamps and dies, the park bench and lamp post included! I cut the bench twice from thin chipboard and stamped it with Potter's Clay ink. Oh, and the awesome cobblestone stamp beneath the bench is part of the set as well.

The sentiment is also in this set.

The lamp post I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with black to make it look like an old lamp post; and the park bench I layered with foam tape. Love having dies to coordinate with the stamps so I can make them dimensional!

For my first project today I'm using the Build a Pretty Flower stamp set.  There are so many pieces in this set to make your own flower images! I used a plaid background I made masking and stamping inks on white cardstock, leaving the circle in the center for my flowers. Every flower, leaf and vine are included in this set, and then some!!! Sentiment from Many Greetings stamp set.

For my second project, the new set Spring Wreaths, is my focus. Pretty wreaths and flowers from this set make a simple Easter card. Sentiment, 'to someone special' is also part of this set.

Love the new wreath stamps in this release!

For my sentiment box, I used the Treat Slider Box candy wrap.

Whatever you want Wednesday

Woop, woop! It's Wednesday - you know, hump day! Today we get to make whatever we want for our design team project. I made this card inspired by a card made by Krista of Krista's Stamp Spot blog that I saw on pinterest.

I used the two larger sizes of the blossoms on this yet to be released flower die, altered the smallest of the chevron die sizes...

...and used the smallest round speech bubble for my sentiment. The blues with the brown make this a perfect masculine card too!

Product List:
My Creative Time, Round Speech Bubbles die
My Creative Time, Chevron dies
My Creative Time, flower blossoms die
My Creative Time, Chunky Jar Accessories mini stamps
Bling, sharpie, foam tape

Try Me Tuesday - ghost stamping

Hello on this try-me Tuesday! Today's technique is super simple but really packs a punch. Some have called this faux letterpress stamping, some call it ghost stamping. Regardless the term you want to use, it starts with white ink. I combined my ghost stamping technique with masking. Check it out!

Stamp your image first in white ink. Be sure it's dry before you continue, then stamp over the top, slightly offset, in another color. In this case, I used Hero Arts Orange Soda to compliment my card background color. That's all there is to it!! Go on and try it. I know you want to! ;)

Both the bunny stamp and sentiment are from the Hello Spring stamp and die set by My Creative Time. Add a ribbon and done. Such a fun technique and so easy to do. I hope you'll try it.

Product List:
My Creative Time, Hello Spring stamp and die set
Stampin Up, Whisper White ink
Hero Arts, Orange Soda ink
Ribbon

Easter challenge at Melonheadz!

It's Monday and time for the new Melonheadz Friends challenge. Are you ready to play!?? This week we are making Easter projects. I used this adorable bunny from the Easter 2011 set, with a carrot from the Very Veggies bundle to make this bag topper.

Look at his adorable face! :) I used liquid applique to make his tail fluffy. That stuff is really cool for adding a little dimension.
