Try Me Tuesday - slide puzzle technique

Today's try-me project is a "slide puzzle" style card. Remember the puzzles we did as kids that was a mixed up picture? Then you had to slide the pieces all around to get them in the correct order? That's the idea behind today's try-me project.

This one is actually my second card. I had a little trouble keeping things even and lined up properly in the first version, but this one turned out a lot better. It's a fun technique, and once you've done it, it goes a lot faster the next time you make one. For the background I used the Love Collage stamp and clear embossing powder.

Stitched Sweetheart die, speech bubble die popped with foam tape, and sentiment from the Lost at Sea stamp set. Distress Ink colors peeled paint, worn lipstick, and festive berries.

The first attempt. I used the small flourish and sentiment from the Springtime in Paris set, Stitched Circle dies, and the beach ball die from the Surf's Up set.

Distress Ink colors here are peeled paint, wild honey, and spun sugar. Don't do any measuring or looking too closely...had a bit of trouble lining things up on this one. LOL

I hope you'll try this fun technique. Check out Gina K's video here if you need a little help.
