Wednesday Inspiration

Welcome to a day of inspired projects by the talented Design Team of My Creative Time! My inspiration today comes from the watercolor for card making class I took last week. I had no idea there was so much to learn about watercolor and all the different ways it can be used. I really enjoyed the class and hope to remember at least a few of the techniques I learned to apply to my card making.

This card is 4.25 x 4, smaller than the standard A2 size. The mat is the stitched 4x4 journaling die card by My Creative Time. The background paper is water colored using Distress Inks. And now that I'm typing this, I can't remember for certain which colors I used, but I think they are peeled paint and stormy sky. So much fun and you never know how they will turn out. {And by that I mean, there were a few attempts that ended up in the trash! LOL}

For the flowers and flags, I also used paper I had water colored, this time using Memento rose bud. The flowers are made from the scalloped circle die, leaves and flower centers from pretty flowers and leaves dies, and the sentiment from the Life is Good stamp set. Ironically, my stamping is imperfect... LOL Oh well.

Your card is so beautiful and sweet I love it gosh it definitely should be in a little frame or in a double frame next to either a couples pic for an anniversary or wedding or......just a couple in a pic......or....a kids pic.....sorry couldn't resist thinking out loud.
