Today's class lesson is free hand watercolor. Yikes. I will need to practice this technique....a LOT, if I'm going to feel comfortable with my results. Here's my first attempt. All I will say is, it passes enough to stay out of the wastebasket. Needless to say, not one of my favorite projects, but it was still fun to do. LOL
This assignment was to make a simple freehand tree using watercolor. I used Distress Inks, seedless preserves (purple), forest moss (dark green), bundled sage (light green), chipped sapphire (blue) and for the trunk, walnut stain.
A little closer look at the "tree". It's a cool technique, I'm just not sure I captured very well. More practice required. ;)

You DID capture the technique well! I love how soft it is and the colours are fab - I'm going to try one with the cool colours like this!
