Flip card

Today I'm sharing a new technique I haven't done before. I'm so excited about this, I don't know why I haven't looked up how to do this before now! It was not at all difficult, and this version does not require any special dies. I used dies I already have. Bonus!!! :) The tutorial I followed is by Alma de la Rosa of The Cat's Pajamas team. Her video is very easy to follow. You can find it HERE.

Here is the front of my card. I used papers from the October Afternoon, Witch Hazel 8x8 paper pad. The basket is a die by Cottage Cutz, leaves by My Creative Time, and flip cut-out is Spellbinders.

Here you see how the design on the flip piece opens as you pull the front.

This is the flip side - the card opened all the way and flipped back. Tag, leaf and sentiment are by My Creative Time. This is a great way to send a "special" card by mail without all the extra bulk of embellishments.

Product List:
October Afternoon, Witch Hazel 8x8 paper pad
Spellbinders nesting label dies
My Creative Time, Chunky Jar Accessories
My Creative Time, Piles of Smiles
Cottage Cutz bushel basket die
Scoring tool

  1. Your card is so fabulous! So I watched the video 2 times, and made my card! I kept flipping the flipper until it broke off and fell out of the card!!!! Well, back to the drawing board! I feel like a dork but I know I can do this! :)
