Scrappy Monday with My Creative Time

Good morning and welcome to another Scrappy Monday. It's September. Already. I don't know about you, but it sure snuck up on me. I do love September though. Fall always holds nostalgic memories for me. I always tried to make the girls at least a couple new dresses for school, and while my sewing machine was out, we would start on Halloween costumes, and then it was time to start on Christmas dresses, decorations, gifts... all starting in September. Maybe that's why I've been extra crafty lately. I feel almost like that's just what I'm supposed to be doing when September rolls around. LOL. I'm so proud and happy that my daughters inherited my love of handcrafting and all things DIY!

Case in point, Gracie's Halloween dress. This is another of the costumes daughter Cyndi has made for Grace over the years. Grace has always been fascinated by women of history and this time she chose to dress up as Annie Oakley. I love it!!! I wish I could have scanned this for a better image, but the flowers are too lumpy, so you get to see my hanging display rack again. LOL Thanks for coming by. Be sure to check out the other designers layouts at the My Creative Time blog.

Ok let's walk through the layout. The rifle embellishment is from the Father's Day cartridge. The rifle Gracie is holding in the photo is her own. She's an awesome shot too, by the way.

Oh goodness do I ever love the Fontopia cartridge! The monogram and crest are both from that cartridge.

And last but not least, how could I not use Emma's flower dies?? I hope you're not tired of my flowers cuz I can't see me ever not making them. There are so many different things you can do with them, it's just amazeballs!

Add punches, flourishes, bling, and twine for eye appeal.

Computer generated title/journal strips using a font called Helena Squat {poor Helena! LOL}
