*scratch, scratch -sniff, sniff*

No, I don't have a cold! I'm making scratch and sniff cards!! Have you done this yet? It's a fun technique, and the kids will love it. I did this several years ago for Christmas thank you notes using coffee, cinnamon and candy cane scents. They turned out great and were a fun project. For today's project, I used fruity scents and bright, cheerful colors. These are for the kids' Easter baskets. I think they'll like the fun little bonus on the card to go with their yummy jelly beans. :) All stamps and inks are by Stampin Up! Papers are Bazzill and October Afternoon and twine from The Cat's Pajamas. The rosettes are the medium size of the three Tim Holtz rosette sizes. If you'd like to give this technique a try, check out the videos on youtube. This one is easy to follow but there are lots of others as well. I didn't have a lemon slice stamp so I cut the orange in half, which would work for limes too.

The orange pattern paper I used for this one is by Chatterbox.

Have fun, crafters. Try something new this week!

  2. Spoon feed me. Where do I gett'm? I would love a fruity smell attached to Lil'Gal's Luau party theme invites this year. Would put the invites over the scrapdiddly top!

And, BTW, how did you get the smell to permeate from your blog? Just askin'? :-P

  3. Very cute Shar! When you mixed up the embossing powder and coolaid, did you do a 50/50 ratio?? Yours look perfect! Also, did you use Versamark or Craft Ink?
