Want some of my handmade roses!?? GIVEAWAY

ETA: If you would like to learn how to make these yourself, there are lots of great vids on youtube. Here's the one I used. Janna's instructions are so simple to follow. :)

Well I went a little nuts after my first few roses turned out so dang cute. :) Check it out!!

I've never been able to find the bitsy roses in text paper, so I got out what's left of my thrift store dictionary, the one I use for my version of Donna Salazar flowers, and started punching. I decided just to cut an extra flower shape to use for the leaves instead of looking for another punch or die shape. I think it works just fine.

Let me first say how gorgeous these turned out! Secondly, however, they are a booger to make. The paper is so fine it's hard to get them to hold their shape at all, and to manipulate the center is particularly difficult. At any rate, the end result is worth it. Oh and for those I used my ibond hot glue gun by imaginisce. The liquid glue didn't hold worth a poop and the hot glue gives them a little more stability, but the hot glue can be rather difficult to work with, fair warning.

Oh no, I didn't stop there, I wanted to see how the glimmer mist worked and if it made any difference in the handling of the thin paper. It sorta does feel a little sturdier but that could just be because I wanted it to be. LOL But the finished product is so gorgeous it doesn't even matter. I love this look and will be making lots more of the glimmer misted version!

The glimmer mist colors I used are burnt red, moonlight (blue), vintage pink, and for the leaves, olive vine.

AND as a special treat for reaching ONE HUNDRED FOLLOWERS (100!!!), I'm giving away a handful of these gorgeous flowers!! Want to win?? Become a follower yourself if you aren't already, and leave a comment on this post. You'll be entered in the drawing. What could be easier! :) I'll pick a winner tonight and post in the morning.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING A FOLLOWER! I love you!
