Little Lady.....bug

I finally got to use the adorable, if I do say so myself, QuicKutz ladybug border die!!! I used it here, not the complete 12 inches though, along with the new Chick a dee alphabet, in addition to a flourish and heart. The journaling is tucked behind the photo on the Rev recipe card.

It doesn't show all that well in the photo, but on this little dress and hat are darling ladybug buttons. Grace looks a little perplexed in the pic but I think that's only because we had changed her clothes probably half a dozen times that day taking pictures in all the new outfits I had made for her. LOL! This dress and hat was her favorite, and mine too. :) Oh, and you can't see her feet because she is wearing shoes and the dress is so long. And if you think Grace was fat, you should have seen her mommy as a baby! ;) LOL!

SHIPPING NOW!

The newest exclusive QK border die, from Scrapbuggy, is here!! These are not pre-orders, they are available and shipping right now! Please note: Scrapbuggy ships internationally.

I am particularly excited about this die as I was fortunate to have a hand in the designing of it. In fact, the ladybugs were my idea! I can't wait to get this one in my hot little hands. :) What do you think?? Is it as cute as I think it is! LOL

More baby pages for Sally's book

For the journaling tag I used this adorable little dress from one of the Cricut cartridges, embellished a bit and run through the printer. Hearts border is an A's exclusive, baby carriage is one of the QK cc baby shapes, and alphabet is Nutmeg.

My sweet baby girls have adored each other since day one. And they still do! QK nesting cc hearts, QK club heart ribbon slide, and C & S monograms. Staples, bling, doodling, ribbon, and half a bulldog clip.

Close up of the clip, heart and Heidi Swapp index tab, 'sweet'.

Close up of pretty bling so you can actually see the colors.

This is Sally at 4 months being held by my grama. :) I used miscellaneous buttons, ribbons, and heart brad; QK Chocolate and MaryJane Grand alphabets.

This is one of my favorite baby pics of Sally. She went through a phase of crinkling up her nose and squinting her eyes every time she smiled. I loved it! Her youngest baby, Emmy, is at this same age now and going through the same smiley-squinty phase. LOL

For this simple page I used the QK small waves border, the Silhouette welding and shadow features for the title, and the 2x2 raindrops for the splash. Font used is a freebie called Hog Bold HMK. Click for free download.

Baby Love

The font I used for this page is called Jot.

Journaling: My sweet loving baby girls. Cyndi was just 13 months old when she became Sally's big sister. From the time we brought her home, Sally was Cyndi's baby. Two sisters couldn't be closer if they were twins.

Chipboard hearts embellished with doodling, hole-punched and tied together with ribbon, as close as my baby girls are.

Mommy & Me

Me at 24 with my sweet baby Sally at 2 weeks. Please excuse the horrible helmet hair! Bad perm days. Eeek!!! LOL

For this page I used the adorable exclusive hippo die by Archivers, honey bee alphabet, Heidi Swapp chipboard heart embellished with Basic Grey rubons, and Inkssentials white pen for accent. Sally now collects hippos, so this sweet little guy had to be part of this page!

Sweet Baby

Daughter, Sally Ann, April, 1978. First page of the last baby book I have yet to make. Pattern papers from the DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Girl stack. I used the Silhouette for the title and the journaling pocket, frame from the Rev label, hearts from the A's exclusive hearts border, and MS doily lace border punch. Brads, button, ribbon - scan kinda faded out the pretty pink brads.
The little pocket holds my hospital bracelet and the tag with her birth stats.

Oh Boy!

More fun with the new Silhouette features. Title is welded with a shadow background, and the snowflakes are also Silhouette designs. I cut the tags by hand as I didn't have any the size I wanted. Of course you can't have snowflakes without sparkle so stickles is a must. Papers are Stampin Up except for the green border strips which are Basic Grey, Offbeat.

Better shot of the stickles so you can actually see the sparkle. I don't know why the scanner eats the sparkle but here you can see how pretty they are.

Girl Love Shoppin!

Sweet little Emmy taking her first ride around the grocery store in the shopping cart! (Never mind the New Year's Eve beer display behind her. LOL)

I used the beautiful new 3d butterfly on this page just because it's frilly and girly and so is Emmy in her pretty pink coat. ;) Title is done in Nutmeg, heart is from the A's exclusive heart border die. Ribbons, stickles, staples and glitter. You can't see in this scan very well, but I made the pink background paper with a butterfly stamp and white glitter. It's very pretty...too bad you can't see it. LOL

I tried to get the stickles to show up on the butterfly. The second shot might show the stickles better, and the first one shows the 3d effect better.

New QK Honey Bee font

I can see why the name of this font has to do with honey -- it looks like Winnie the Pooh! :) I love it's playful chubbyness. In fact, it goes perfectly with these pics of playful and chubby grandbaby, Logan. LOL Can you tell what a happy little boy he is? Always smiling and loving life to the fullest. Even in this downpour!

Title font Honey Bee combined with Snowday, another playful style that blends beautifully. Journaling is part of the Rain song from Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. Other QK used on this page are the cloud, raindrops, Rev index tab, and Rev vine flourish. Papers are Making Memories.

The Perfect Snowman

Really, doesn't every kid think every snowman they build is the perfect one!? So I thought this would be the perfect title for this page. Grandkids Asher, Courtney and Logan building their perfect snowman during winter break.

Quickutz used on this layout:
Rev snowflakes
Rev label
2x2 bottlecap set
snowman arms from Snowday gift set
Diesel Classic alphabet
Diesel Grand alphabet
Stardust alphabet

For the snow effect on the title letters, I used a four-layer process starting with the title letters in blue, a second set of letters in white, Liquid Applique, and Stickles glitter glue. It turned out awesome, didn't it!? Looks just like glistening snow!
